Frequently Asked Questions
Great question—and no, it’s not pickleball (though we get that a lot). Think of padel as tennis’s cool cousin from abroad. It’s played on a smaller court surrounded by glass walls, which are incorporated into the gameplay, and always with four people. The result? Longer rallies, more creativity, and a whole lot of fun.
Padel has been wildly popular in Europe and Latin America for decades, and now it’s one of the fastest-growing sports in the United States. Courts are popping up everywhere, from New York to California, and families are discovering just how easy—and addictive—it is to play.
But padel is more than just a game—it’s a social experience. Because it’s played in doubles, padel is inherently community-oriented. Around the world, its culture is known to be welcoming, inclusive, and designed for connection. Whether you’re competing, laughing off a miss, or celebrating a rally, padel is as much about the friendships as it is about the score.
Yes! The Padel Palz curriculum is designed with safety as the TOP PRIORITY. Coaches are certified in CPR/First Aid and have undergone specific training to make sure kids are safe at all times. In addition, our racquets are the smallest and softest in the market (weighing less than 200 grams) and every piece of equipment complies with CPSC guidelines for child safety.
Padel Palz coaches are certified in CPR/First Aid and have undergone comprehensive
background checks. Our coaches are also certified PadelMBA instructors and have
undergone trainings to ensure they teach with compassion, empathy, and with rigorous
attention to safety.
Students should wear sneakers and clothes that allow for dynamic movement. While not required, long pants or leggings also help protect against knee scrapes.
The Padel Palz program is designed for small groups and requires a minimum number of
participants per class. If enrollment for a given class falls below the minimum
requirement amount, we will contact you the prior evening with options to reschedule or
for a 100% refund.
Not yet—but we’d love to in the future! If enough students from the same school enroll, we’re happy to explore adding a pickup option to make things easier for families.
